WANDR is the digital companion to Wandering Icons — a Scottish adventure-hire company that puts travellers behind the wheel of Land Rover Defenders kitted with roof tents and full camping gear.

We built this because every traveller who books a Defender from us asks the same questions: where do we go that isn't on Instagram already? Where do the locals eat? Is the NC500 worth it? What about midges?

Rather than answering them in a hundred WhatsApp messages, we put a decade of wandering into one app — open to everyone, not just our customers. If you happen to also want a Defender after planning the trip… well.

The point of WANDR is to push you toward the parts of this country that the algorithms forget — and to do it as a friend would, not as a search engine.
